Our extraordinary campus is home to Jewish Community Day School, the Metairie JCC, the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans, and JNOLA. School spaces have been thoughtfully designed with children in mind. Well-lit, clean hallways with colorful displays of student work create an atmosphere of ownership and excitement. In spacious classrooms with large windows that provide natural light, students have the space to be active learners.

 

JCDS students have a wide variety of after-school activities from which to choose. Whether it’s sports, dance, art class, chess club, study hall, swim team or Kid Konnection’s after-care, together JCDS and the JCC offer something “just right” for your child and family. Our security consciousness is second to none, and we work with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department, FBI, and Homeland Security to keep it that way.  JCDS students swim in the JCC full-size outdoor pool and PE classes take place in the well-equipped gym or outside on the enormous Bart Field. On Bart Field you’ll also find our organic garden beds, pebble play pit, and shaded play structures for older and younger children.
